Not every car in Stanion is on a neat driveway. Some are in barns, field corners or behind outbuildings, and some have not turned a wheel in years. We collect from farms and business premises as well as homes. It has been illegal to pay cash for scrap cars since the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013. We pay you instantly by bank transfer when we collect. To do that legally, we need to see your photo ID (driving licence or passport) and proof of address. Have the V5C ready if you have it.

What happens after we collect?

1. We load the vehicle and pay you.
2. You keep the yellow slip from the V5C.
3. The car goes to a licensed Authorised Treatment Facility.
4. The ATF issues a Certificate of Destruction, normally within 7 days, and tells the DVLA.
5. Any full months of tax left are refunded automatically.
